ISO9001 Certification Obtained

Maruzen Showa's Harbor Transportation Department Daikoku Controlled Temperature Warehouse Office (formerly the Daikoku Seika Center) obtained ISO 9001 certification on September 27, 1999. The Kashima Branch Kashima Soybean Center Office, the Kashima Branch Minami Kaihin Warehouse Office and the Chubu Branch Tokai Warehouse Office obtained this certification on July 31, 2009, as did the Narita Logistics Center on August 31, 2010, giving us five ISO9001-certified offices. We will provide quality services for our customers and are taking active steps to have other offices certified.

ISO14001 Certification Obtained
Maruzen Showa's head office and Export Packing Center obtained ISO14011 certification on March 31, 2004. The number of offices registered gradually increased after this: the Machine Engineering Department, the Harbor Transportation Department and the Tokyo Marine Branch were certified on March 31, 2009, bringing to 18 the number of offices registered as of April 1, 2010. We believe it is our social responsibility to reduce the impact of our business operations on the environment. In addition to further improving the quality of our logistics services, we try to address environmental issues from various perspectives so that we can become an environment-oriented logistics company. Our 18 ISO14001-certified offices will continue their activities to preserve the environment, and we will take active steps to have our other offices obtain this certification as well.
